Another Sympathy Card

This one was made for my Uncle and Aunt on the loss of my cousin. I used ice white linen card bought from The Papeterie, folded into an A5 side fold card. I used my CC Ultimate Pro to emboss the scalloped edge, which I cut off, and added a strip of dark green card, I chalked the embossed edge, then outlined with a fine chain peel off. The decoupaged image has been matted and layered on to silver Mirri board and dark green card, I stamped the sentiment using a Winter Green Versa mark inkpad, from a set I bought from Joanna Sheen's shop, I lightly chalked round the edge of the sentiment then layered it on to the dark green card, Finishing off with a Dark green organza bow, the ribbon also bought from Joanna's store.

On the line

This is a Penny Black stamp I bought when I was at the SECC, I thought it was really cute, now you will have to excuse my colouring in, I am still very much the novice, but I am learning.
I used Lyra Aqua Colours from Joanna Sheen's Shop, the image has been decoupaged then matted and layered on to silver holographic and black card, the backing paper came free with one of my craft mags, I deckled the edge and added fine silver line peel offs. I am still trying to make up my mind if it needs a little something else, but it will probibly be the sentiment once I decide who it's for.

2nd Sympathy Card

This is an A5 white linen tent fold card, I have used the same stamped image as with the first card, it has been stamped on to a free download paper from Jak65 (thanks Jak) this time I have used Versa Color, Amethyst, bought from Joanna's shop, then cut out using Nestibilities and matted on to contrasting card, I have used the same card on the diagonal matting and the other half of the downloaded paper. I finished off with an embossed edge, 3 gems and some organza ribbon.

With Sympathy

My friends Mum passed away last week, and this is the first of two sympathy cards I have to make.
The main card is cream linen, A5 tent fold, I have used gold mirri and rust coloured card for the matting and layering. The rose has been stamped with Distress Ink, Tea dye, onto some waste card from a teddybear set I bought from C&C a while back, I used the same ink to stamp the sentiment straight on to the card, (very brave for a novice, I thought to myself). Both rubber stamps are by Inkadinkado. The butterflies are acitate stickers I bought when I first started crafting nearly 3 years ago.

Orange Overload

I saw this orange card in our local papermill shop, I am not normally an orange person, but I loved the colour and feel of the card. The card is an A5 tent fold, I matted and layered the twisted decoupage on to rust, cream and gold mirri card. the label was matted on to cream and gold mirri card and finished off with a bright orange ribbon, the strip at the bottom was matted on to the cream card.

Snowboarding Duck

Now I know I am getting carried away with these big cards, I again used 2 sheets of A4 card to make the tent fold. I found this image and thought it would look good decoupaged, then I found this lovely snow scene, I cut out the ovals of both the card and backing paper on my trusty Cricut (dust free now). I added another sheet of the backing paper to the inside of the card, the smallest snowflakes have been covered with a tiny round silver dot, the waste from the chain peel off used on the oval, I then finished off with a simple nestabilies label tag fastened with a length of blue ribbon.
My son will be 21 either on the 28th Feb or the 1st March whichever day he decides his birthday is going to be on this year, since there is not a 29th Feb, he loves snowboarding so I thought it rather apt for him, I am sure he will like it, well I hope he likes it.

Flippin Shopaholic

This is one of the first big cards I have made from scratch, I used 2 sheets of A4 pink card and made them into a tentfold card. I cut out the oval on my Cricut Expression (first time it's had an airing in a while) I embossed a line accross the centre of the card, and added strips of line peel off either side of it, I finished off the oval with a chain peel off.
I love the Flippin Women images and this one suits my youngest daughter to a T. It will be her 18th birthday in May so I thought she deserved a flora doodle, tassle and a gem brad (yes I know I am early, but I couldn't wait to get my scissors on the decoupage sheets)
Hope you like it

Wishing I was Fishing

Here is another of my firsts, and there are a couple in this one.
My base card is white A5 tent fold, it has been outline with fine silver border and corner peel offs. This is a Joanna Sheen Bears rubber stamp, I coloured in the image with Sakura stardust pens using water brush to mute and mix the colours, and this is a first for me, the image has been matted and layred using my new Nestibilities labels, The TV was a downloaded image, I cut out the centre and inserted a cartoon picture of an angler. The sentiment was laser printed then hot foiled with a multi-coloured foil, and cut out with a Nesti curved rectangle.
Hope the OH is going to like it as it's just him to a tee.

Touch of the Orient

This is the first of the things I promised myself I would try in 2009.
Base card is a black A5 tent fold, the main image is matted and layered on to white, red and gold card, the white is outlined with fine gold peel off lines. I bought the kimono peel off when at the SECC in October, it was stuck on the a piece of acetate, the flowers, leaves and scalloped border has been coloured in using Sakura Stardust pens, the tree trunk with a Sakura black Glaze pen, I used a double happiness punch on gold mirri card then rippled the card to just under the symbol, then added the Chinese coin and Wine tassel. I finnised off with a bamboo peel off down the right had side of the card.
Clicking on the highlighted items will take you to where you can purchase them in Joanna Sheen's online shop.

Shoes & Bags

This card I made for my Crafting Buddie Anne, A very simple decoupaged tent fold card
